​They Lift Cars in the Air.
​They March in the Streets.
​They March Down to the Schools.
​They Camp Out in the Hospital.
​And when Family Court Judges become so complicit and brainwashed as to take children from their mothers simply because of fancy lawyers and corrupt politicians, they serve and recall judges.

​Law enforcement agencies that traditionally protect judges over the public couldn’t even stop these moms from serving a judge who was ducking the required personal service. These determined moms got to the judge anyway and now have a record of 5 and 5.

​In Contra Costa hundreds of parents are organizing social media and recall campaigns agaist judges who acted in the county as presiding judges, where a culture has been created to label parents fighting for their children as disgruntled, crazy and vexatious. #VexatiousMoms are celebrated everywhere in society, except family court. Women restrained from their own children have turned their fight against the judges who have allowed this to happen. Mocking mother judges who are a disgrace to motherhood , like Judge Jill Fannin.

Judge Cynda Riggins-Unger SUCCESSFULLY SERVED With Notice of Intent to Circulate Recall Petition, SOLANO COUNTY “FIVE IN FIVE” After evading service of recall petition by summoning Solano County Sheriffs to block advocates from service, Judge Cynda Riggins-Unger was successfully served with the notice of intent to circulate recall petition.
Unger evaded service twice: once at the Superior Court, and a second time when a process server was commissioned to serve her. The process server was finally able to serve the documents to the Clerk for Department 5.

This is the fifth time in five years that advocates have attempted to recall a Solano County Family Court judge, for failing to protect women and children from documented cases of physical and sexual abuse, a landmark issue advocates are naming “Five in Five”.
2013 – Judge Daniel Healey, who was subsequently publicly admonished by the Commission on Judicial Performance and moved out of Family Court.
2014 – Judge Cynda Riggins-Unger, who still serves on the Family Court bench
2017 – Judge Christine Carringer, who still serves on the Family Court bench
2017 – Judge Garry Ichikawa, who immediately announced his retirement
2018 – Judge Cynda Riggins-Unger, served again

Over three dozen litigants have written formal complaints to the Commission on Judicial Performance about the judges’ behavior, alleging violations of the California Code of Judicial Ethics. The Commission on Judicial Performance is currently under heavy public and regulatory scrutiny for what is statistically documented to be a failure to address warranted complaints.

The Protective Mothers of Solano County have gathered more than 150 women impacted by an alleged dangerous bias in Solano County Family Court that disregards evidence of sexual and physical abuse and punishes women for speaking out.

Not all impacted litigants are mothers, women who have a romantic relationship, but no children, are also required to pursue protective orders through family court. This, advocates claim, further harms women who need protective orders.

In 2016 Judge Garry Ichikawa refused to provide a protective order to Kenesha Jackson, a Department of Rehabilitation employee who hand-wrote her pleadings. Shortly thereafter, Everett Highbaugh, the man from whom she was seeking protection, allegedly murdered Jackson in her home while her children were present. The case currently awaits trial.

Advocates claim this is one of many cases where judges blatantly refused to consider credible evidence of abuse and habitually ruled against the victims of domestic violence.

In one case, Judge Garry Ichikawa officially ordered the destruction of evidence.

“The most difficult part about this is building awareness. People always look for what the woman did to cause this, they don’t believe that judges are biased,” Advocate J.C. claims.

Advocates have been attempting to address the problem in family court for more than five years. Advocates claim that the problems with the judges are well known throughout the Solano Superior Court, Domestic Violence Agencies, as well as local attorneys. But no one has actually stepped up to address the issue.

With #metoo gaining steam and the public starting to raise awareness of issues of sexual and domestic abuse against women, as well as pervasive abuse of power shielded and protected by enablers, advocates are hoping that finally, people will begin to listen and help address the issue in Solano County.

Women and children are literally dying.

Daily Republic: Group announces recall drive against Solano judge

FAIRFIELD — A group calling itself the Committee for the Recall of Judge Cynda Riggins-Unger issued a press release Thursday announcing they have notified Unger of their intent to launch a recall campaign against her.

The group now needs to gather thousands of signatures from Solano County residents in the upcoming months to get a recall measure on the ballot.

The press release claims a previous effort was made to recall Unger in 2014 and that other recall efforts were also undertaken against her family law peers Judge Christine Carringer and Judge Garry T. Ichikawa, who retired in 2017.

Earlier this month Unger, elected to a judgeship in 2000, learned that she will automatically be appointed to another six-year term after the November election since no opponent opted to challenge her by the filing deadline.

Vacaville Reporter: Family Court judge served notice of intent to circulate recall petition

In what seems to be a growing trend, a Solano County Family Court judge was served Thursday with a notice of intent to circulate a recall petition.

Friday’s action to recall Judge Cynda Riggins-Unger marked the fifth time in five years that advocates have attempted to recall a Solano County Family Court judge, according to the Protective Mothers of Solano County — a committee currently working to recall several Solano County Family Court judges.

Court Executive Officer Brian K. Taylor was unable to be reached Friday before press time. Judge Unger was also unable to be contacted for comment.

Unger was last served a similar notice of recall in 2014, according to the group. An effort to recall Fellow Family Court Judge Christine Carringer recently failed, as the group working the cause didn’t gather enough signatures.

Last year, Family Court Judge Garry Ichikawa was served a notice of intent to circulate a recall petition; he announced his plans to retire shortly after.

“The biggest problem has been judges excluding credible evidence of abuse and placing children with documented abusers,” said Jaclyn Qirreh, an advocate with the Protective Mothers of Solano County.

According to Qirreh, the current system leaves little options for individuals displeased with a judge’s orders and the facts and evidence in a case.

“The presiding judge can’t do anything,” explained Qirreh. “The District Attorney can’t, The Court of Appeals can’t reassess the facts and evidence. The Attorney General typically isn’t going to do anything about a family law case, and the Commission on Judicial Performance will not do anything about a judge’s orders.”

Qirreh, who has been working tirelessly on recall efforts for several Solano County Family Court Judges, believes there is no solution for misconduct from judges in Solano County.

“What we’re trying to show here is there is a pattern in Solano County of children being placed with known abusers and the judges discrediting legitimate abuse claims,” she said. “We’re not against judges. We have great respect for the judicial process. But litigants, attorneys and even judicial officers have become accustomed to not having anyone hold them accountable.”

Acknowledging that efforts for recalls are often futile endeavors, Qirreh says the committee is determined to continue to fight no matter the odds.

“We’re asking to be heard,” she revealed. “We want Solano County to address this issue once and for all.

California Protective Parents Association: Recalls on Family Court Judges Continue

Santa Clara and Solano Counties have been in the news regarding the recall of judges. One recall has made it to the ballot, the first recall for a judge in CA in 86 years. Other recalls have made a point: protective parents and the #MeToo movement will not stand for bad judges. It is unclear if these recalls are all a product of the lack of transparency and discipline from the Commission on Judicial Performance since most of the complaints made about judges are dismissed regardless of the validity of the complaints as we have seen.

The Santa Clara Judge Aaron Persky recall has made it to the June 5, 2018 ballot after collecting 95,000 signatures. Judge Persky has previously sat on the family court bench, including being a judge for part of the family matter of Alycia Mesiti-Allen who was forced into custody with her abusive father who later murdered her.

Another recall that we are just hearing about is for Judge Cynthia Lie in Santa Clara. It appears the first papers were filed in this matter and more information will be forthcoming.

Solano County has a history of recalls though. In fact they have had five recalls in the past five years. The Solano protective parents are calling this their “Five in Five.” Here is a list of their recalls:

The 2017 recall of Judge Carringer did not get enough signatures to get on the ballot with the deadline being this past week. The process to get a recall on the ballot is cost prohibitive, but the point is made regardless. Protective parents are tired of abuse being dismissed in family court and children being forced into the custody of a named abuser.

Judge Cynda Riggins-Unger Summons Police To Evade Being Served Recall Notice

February 15, 2018 at the Solano County Superior Court, the Court Executive Office confirmed to a group of three women that they needed to directly serve Judge Cynda Unger their Intent to Recall notice, but Judge Unger and her clerks refused to receive service.

This is the Fifth Recall in Five Years, all served by total strangers, advocating over the exact same issue: a pervasive pattern of Solano Family Judges Refusing to acknowledge credible evidence of abuse, denying women protection (which resulted in the 11/16 murder of Kenesha Jackson), and forcing children to live with fathers with a documented history of physical and sexual abuse.

Sex offenders, felons, and men with a history of spousal and child abuse are getting primary and sole custody of minor children.  No matter how much evidence of abuse the women bring in, Solano County Family Court judges are blanketly calling women liars, claiming they aren’t credible, and even ordering the destruction of evidence.

Attorneys are advising women in Solano County not to bring up evidence of abuse because it’s a ticket to lose custody of their children, and many refuse to practice in Solano County because the bias is so great.  Many of the mothers have sons of their own and would never want their son falsely accused of abuse, but these are not those cases.  Even with overwhelming evidence, the women and children aren’t being believed and protected.

We’ve put together the cases and the evidence.  This isn’t a bunch of “whiny mothers.”  Much like the victims of Larry Nassar that were continually disbelieved, will Solano County finally listen?

They let it be known if we got close to her we’d be arrested by grabbing at their handcuffs and telling us we can go to the executive office and leave the papers there. The executive office along with presiding judge both said they couldn’t accept service on her behalf.
Isn’t that illegal ?

Since when [does] Unger care about legalities?

We didn’t even go in the court room. We were outside the courtroom. This is what our tax dollars are going towards.
She called 3 additional officers to intimidate us and block us from getting to her.
They helped her evade service by sneaking her into carringers judges chambers and calling police on us.

In Bizarre Twist Of Events, Police Called To Prevent Three Advocates From Serving Judge Cynda Riggins-Unger With Notice of Intent to Circulate Recall Petition

Three female advocates visited Solano county Superior Court to serve Family Law Judge Cynda Riggins-Unger with Notice of Intent to Circulate Recall Petition.

Court Clerk for Department 5, Family Law, refuses to accept service of notice, locks courtroom door.

Court Bailiff and three police officers arrive to block advocates from serving Judge with documents.

In act of intimidation, officers physically showcase, and repeatedly touch holstered guns and handcuffs.

Police Officers block advocates from handing documents to Judge Cynda Riggins-Unger.

Officers escort Judge Unger into another Judge’s chambers (Carringer, also previously served with recall notice), allowing Unger to enter her courtroom bypassing advocates waiting outside her courtroom and chambers.

Officers force advocates to visit the Court Executive Offices to allow Unger to evade service, refuse to allow advocates to serve Unger with documents.
