It is our belief that Judge Cynda Riggins-Unger is applying to return to the bench via the Assigned Judges program. It’s critical that impacted litigants, witnesses and families, write in to the Assigned Judges Program to prevent Unger’s assignment. Being an assigned judge would allow Unger to avoid potential recall, and re-election. It would also make it next to impossible to eliminate Unger from hearing Family Law cases and destroying more lives.
The Assigned Judges Program is a known loophole that allows Judges to remain on the bench, at nearly full salary, with little judicial oversight.
